“My name’s Ole. It’s getting pretty dark and late. Wolves and bears are common in these parts. You’re best to bunker down at my place for the night and continue your search in the morning.”
Will is relieved at the offer of sleeping indoors. His daytime experience with red ants attacking him was fresh on his mind. He did not relish the idea of what he might find lurking in the shadows of the night. He stretches out his hand as he continues to ride along side. Ole shakes his hand. Will’s face glows with appreciation. They continue to ride side by side into the dark void of the night towards Ole’s cabin.
